Some research projects I’m currently involved

  • Following the sketch tools some of my undergraduate students developed a Windows version. You can download the first public beta at http://apus.uma.pt/~winsketch, let us know what you think of this prototype. There are also some videos available.
  • The projectIT (POSI/EIA/57642/2004)
    • The research involved in ProjectIT involves topics related with software engineering and software development processes, and in applying them to the daily projects in which it is involved. ProjectIT is an ambitious R&D program that integrates some concrete issues related with information systems design, development and operation problems or, in general, the problematic of “projects in the area of information technologies”. Its main goal is to provide a complete software development workbench, with support for project management, requirements engineering, analysis, design and code generation features.
  • The metaSketch (with Leonel Nóbrega), a reflexive MOF2 compliant meta-modeling tool.
  • The Sketch 2 PHP (with Duarte Costa), a PHP-based tool that supports web-based simulation of canonical abstract prototypes.
  • The TaskSketch project (with Pedro Campos), a UML-Based tool that focuses on linking and tracing use cases to the Wisdom conceptual architecture of an interactive system.
  • The CanonSketch project (with Pedro Campos), a new and easy to use tool for modeling User Interfaces with multiple levels of abstraction.
